Award-winning National Home Builder Accepting Donations at Its Model Homes Throughout Metro Atlanta, Culminating in the Collection of Frozen Turkeys at Its Corporate Office November 15.

As part of an annual nationwide initiative that has been in place since 2005, David Weekley Homes’ Atlanta Division has kicked off its Giving Thanks, Giving Back Thanksgiving Drive. The builder’s design, build, warranty, marketing, and sales teams invite Georgians to join them in making this holiday season more bountiful for individuals in need by “stuffing” its communities with donations. Now through November 15, the award-winning homebuilder will take up a collection of non-perishable food items at five of its active communities, which span from Flowery Branch on Metro Atlanta’s east side to Canton in the west. On the final day of the drive, David Weekley Homes will collect frozen turkeys at its Atlanta Division Office. The 2024 Giving Thanks, Giving Back drive will benefit St. Vincent de Paul Georgia – the oldest, largest, and most trusted statewide social services safety net organization in Georgia with an aim of providing help and hope to neighbors in need.

“The spirit of giving is a foundational principle at David Weekley Homes,” said Adam Cornett, Atlanta Division President for David Weekley Homes. “So much so that we have our own foundation – the Dovetail Impact Foundation. We are committed to being a leader in volunteer and philanthropic efforts within the home building industry, giving our Team Members paid time off to volunteer. The company also matches funds raised by local divisions for local charities. We are improving lives through the efforts of our CARE program – which includes our Thanksgiving Drive, Back-to-School Supplies Drive, blood drives, an annual Build Day for a local nonprofit, and other initiatives through our long-standing partnership with HomeAid Atlanta. We’re delighted to team up with St. Vincent de Paul Georgia this Thanksgiving. In addition to the nonperishables and turkeys we collect, we will gift $10,000 to help St. Vincent de Paul enhance the pantry at its main service center in Chamblee with appliances and security features.”

Georgians can make an impact in the community by dropping off the following items to David Weekley Homes’ model homes throughout Metro Atlanta:

  • Canned vegetables
  • Mac and cheese
  • Instant potatoes
  • Cake mix
  • Bread mix
  • Salt and pepper
  • Coffee
  • Shelf-stable milk
  • Juice
  • Egg substitute

Drop-off times are Monday — Saturday from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. or Sunday from 1-6 p.m. at the following locations:

The David Weekley Homes Atlanta Division Office—located at 100 Mansell Court East, Suite 100 in Roswell—will also accept non-perishable donations Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. It will be the sole collection site for frozen turkey donations on Friday, November 15th, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. As thanks for their participation, lunch will be provided to donors.

David Weekley Homes Atlanta also provides an online element to this year’s food drive. Donors can purchase through Amazon or Walmart, which will ship those items to the Division Office. Those who prefer to make a monetary contribution to help purchase food can make a check payable to HomeAid Atlanta for St. Vincent de Paul Georgia and mail it to the David Weekley Homes Atlanta Division Office. Cash cannot be accepted.

To find the addresses of David Weekley Homes’ model homes, donors are asked to visit www.DavidWeekleyHomes.com. The builder encourages participants to document their generosity by sharing photos or videos of their donation drop-off on social media, using the hashtag

#DWHCARES to encourage others to give. Anyone with questions about this year’s Giving Thanks, Giving Back Thanksgiving Drive can contact Marketing Director Lesa Ness at LnNess @dwhomes.com.
