The Major League Soccer preseason is fast approaching and Atlanta United will be back on the pitch across the southeast in late January and through February.
The Five Stripes will play matches in Chattanooga, Tennessee and Birmingham, Alabama as part of a five-game preseason schedule. Atlanta will play Chattanooga FC on Jan. 25 at 3 p.m. and the Birmingham Legion on Feb. 1 at 4:30 p.m.
There are also a pair of matches against the New England Revolution and FC Cincinnati scheduled to take place in Bradenton, Florida on Feb. 8 and 12 that will be closed to the public.Â
The match against FC Dallas in Marietta, which is scheduled to take place on Feb. 15, is also closed to the public. The match, which will take place at the team’s training facility, will be streamed live at www.atlutd.com/live , according to a release from the team.Â
New addition to the team
The club recently signed Cayman Togashi, a Japanese-American forward who most recently played professionally in Japan. The New York City-born Togashi comes to Atlanta as a free agent with an option for the 2026 season. He will join Xande Silva, Jamal Thiare, Luke Brennan, and Ashton Gordon as the team’s forwards. Â
