Wire Park Builders, a joint venture between Blue Point Construction Southeast and Monte Hewett, today announced the decorated model townhome is open for tours at The Towns at Wire Park, the newest mixed-use community in Watkinsville. Recently opened for sales, with one townhome sold and two under contract, The Towns at Wire Park will feature a total of 21 two-story townhomes upon completion.

Priced from the upper $500,000s, townhome designs at this new mixed-use development feature 2,170 square feet of thoughtfully designed living space with three bedrooms and three-and-a-half baths. The newly decorated model townhome boasts a staged primary suite, main living area and courtyard.

“At Monte Hewett Homes, we believe that walkability is more than just a convenience – it’s about fostering a lifestyle that allows people to stay connected to their community, their neighbors and the places they love,” said Monte Hewett, president of Monte Hewett Homes. “Wire Park offers a unique opportunity for people to gather, work and play, bringing the community closer to home, in every sense of the word.”

Homebuyers have three unique finish selection packages to choose from at The Towns at Wire Park: the Barnett, Greensboro or Oconee collection. Each option package features unique shades of hardwood, tile designs and cabinet selections, including popular black, grey or white kitchen cabinets. All collections offer smartlocks, pre-finished hardwood floors and Bosch appliances.

Comprising 66 total acres, the Wire Park community sits on the previous location of the Southwire manufacturing plant as the community’s namesake. Gibbs Capital developed the $80 million project with working professionals, young families and recent retirees in mind. Wire Park serves as a transformation of the area into a vibrant, welcoming destination that fosters a strong sense of community and supports the diverse needs of its residents.

Residents enjoy a variety of on-site, walkable amenities including expansive greenspace and a public event amphitheater and park with weekly family-friendly events and activities, including live music, movie nights, food trucks and more. Wire Park also boasts 225,000 square feet of commercial, office and retail space featuring the recently relocated Oconee County Public Library. In addition, residents enjoy access to The Yard at Wire Park, a nearly 29,000-square-foot indoor baseball training facility, and the region’s first food hall, The Grid.

Located at 1725 Electric Avenue in Watkinsville, The Towns at Wire Park is open daily for tours. To schedule a visit, call 706-818-4779 or email WireParkResidential@gmail.com.

Upon completion, Wire Park will also feature 47 single-family homes, with pricing and floor plans coming soon. For more information about the for-sale townhomes and single-family homes coming soon, visit or www.WirePark.net/homes.
