ATLANTA—Georgia legislators representing DeKalb, Gwinnett, and Rockdale counties are inviting residents to a series of town hall meetings this month to provide updates on the 2025 Legislative Session. Some of the meetings are scheduled this week.

The 40-day session officially ended on April 4 and lawmakers want you to know what was accomplished—and what wasn’t under the Georgia Capitol’s gold dome.

The town halls are an opportunity for constituents to meet their representatives, hear firsthand about key legislation and local issues that may affect their communities and ask questions.

Some of the meetings will be held jointly by legislators from the same areas.

Town halls begin on Thursday, April 17, and continue through April 30. Here’s a look at the ones we know about:

Rep. Dar’shun Kendrick, Senators Randal Mangham and Tonya Anderson to host joint town hall April 17

ATLANTA – State Representative Dar’shun Kendrick (D – Lithonia) and State Senators Randal Mangham (D – Stone Mountain) and Tonya Anderson (D – Lithonia) will hold a joint town hall meeting to recap the 2025 legislative session on Thursday, April 17, from 6 – 8 p.m. at the Centerville Community Center, 3025 Bethany Church Road, Snellville.

“I hope the constituents of House District 95 will join me for a conversational breakdown of the highlights of the 2025 legislative session and ask questions,” said Rep. Kendrick. “I want those in DeKalb and Gwinnett portions of the district to know what is happening under their Gold Dome.”

The Goodwill Career Center mobile bus will be in attendance at the town hall. Rep. Kendrick encourages anyone seeking employment to take advantage of this opportunity.

Those interested in attending the town hall should RSVP to Rep. Kendrick at darshun.kendrick@house.ga.gov.
