Spring is an ideal time to shop fresh at one of the many Atlanta Farmer’s Markets.  Supporting local farmer’s market is a great place to start. Whether you are looking for fruits, vegetables, spices or something else, browse vendor booths and find options sourced from surrounding neighborhoods. In addition to shopping, visiting farmer’s markets helps you build relationships with vendors and other shoppers in your community.  

Here are some Atlanta farmer’s markets to check out this spring: 

Intown Atlanta (ITP) 

Brookhaven Farmers Market. Located in Brookhaven, this market is open Saturdays 9 a.m. to noon. Opening day is April 5, so get your shopping basket ready! Browse 50+ vendor booths for fresh products including fruits, vegetables, honey, kombucha, meat and Atlanta favorite, King of Pops. Sometimes local musicians perform at the market, so make sure to listen in for original music playing as you shop. The Brookhaven Farmers Market strives to bring healthier options to the community and create connections between producers and consumers. With a wide offering of products such as produce, packaged meals, wellness products, art and more, this market is your one-stop shop. Bring your furry friend to shop too as leashed dogs are always welcome! 

Green Market at Piedmont Park. Shoppers can visit the Green Market every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. until Dec. 13. Access Atlanta rated this market one of the top five in Atlanta. The Green Market strives to create a sustainable community by providing shoppers with fresh, healthy food options. Enjoy local produce selections, artisan jams and jellies, plants and seeds. No need to eat breakfast before leaving the house, many vendors offer packaged products that you can enjoy while shopping! East Atlanta Village Farmers Market Visit one of Atlanta’s oldest farmers markets, open Thursdays from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., beginning March 27. Located at 572 Stokeswood Ave. SE in Atlanta, the East Atlanta Farmers Market is your destination for sustainably grown produce, baked goods, unique herbs and spice blends, and more. While you’re there, enjoy the art and music, as well as the playground and edible garden.

East Point Farmers Market Just one block from the East Point MARTA station, this Atlanta market is accessible and fun for the whole family. From April 2 to December 10, explore local vendors that showcase fresh breads, meats, organic nuts and eggs, as well as beauty and skincare products. Little ones will enjoy the Eats & Beats music program. The market is located at East Point Downtown Commons and open 4 p.m. to 7 p.m, on Wednesdays.

Freedom Farmers Market at the Carter Center. This year-round market features a diverse array of fruits, vegetables, dairy products, meat and other delicious choices. Created to bring sustainably grown food to intown Atlanta neighborhoods, the Freedom Farmers Market keeps the selection fresh and healthy. Visitors can shop, eat and even watch chef demonstrations to learn exciting, new recipes. Feel free to sit down and enjoy hot, prepared meals from the weekly chef and listen to live music that flows through the vendor row. Stop by any Saturday this year, between 8:30 a.m. and noon, and experience it for yourself.  

Grant Park Farmers @ BeaconATL. Voted Best Farmers Market in Creative Loafing and Atlanta Magazine, this market is open year-round. Every Sunday 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., scan locally-grown produce, meats, bread and artisanal foods. Picnic tables are available as well, so feel free to stay awhile. Looking for new recipes to try this year? The Grant Park Farmers Market hosts weekly celebrity chef demonstrations that will make your mouth water.  

Peachtree Road Farmers Market. Pick up Certified Naturally Grown and Certified Organic food products at the Peachtree Road Farmers Market. Open March 1 to Dec 20, visitors can shop every Saturday between 8:30 a.m. and noon for unique, tasty products. Packaged food vendors at the market also adhere to sustainable guidelines, which means that everything sold is local and ethically sourced. Over 50 local vendors set up shop each week with a diverse selection of pastas, dairy products, garden plants, roasted coffee and other goodies. Again, this year, SimplySharp is available at almost every market to sharpen your dull knives, scissors and garden tools while you shop.

Dunwoody Farmer’s Market Shop Saturdays from 9 a.m. to noon at the Dunwoody Farmer’s Market, conveniently located at Brook Run Park. This festival features produce, meats, dairy products and more that is both locally sourced and pesticide-free. In addition to locally-sourced food products, this market is also home to a blended artisan market that showcases talent from the Dunwoody community. Grab quality ingredients for your next meal and buy some new art for the dining room too. The Dunwoody Farmer’s Market is also known for vibrant, kids’ activities and seminars focused on gardening, composting and other wellness topics.  

Sandy Springs Farmer’s Market Looking for new, fresh weekend activity? Visit the Sandy Springs Farmers Market and browse a wide selection of food and art vendors. Every Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to noon, vendors provide farm-fresh produce and unique, handmade items that are sure to catch your eye. Delight your ears and taste buds by shopping early and staying for bluegrass music. Live entertainment is always provided by local talent. Located at 1 Galambos Way, the Sandy Springs Farmer’s Market is open April 12 to late November. 

North Fulton 

Alpharetta Farmer’s Market Shop local and see why the Alpharetta Farmer’s Market is the “Best Saturday Morning Excursion” of North Atlanta. Known for its welcoming atmosphere, this festival is your hub for fresh fruits and vegetables, meat, fresh pastries, raw honey and natural bath and wellness products. Does shopping make you hungry? Many vendors offer ready-to-eat Southern-style meals. This year, the Alpharetta Farmer’s Market is open every Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. See you there! 

Roswell Farmers and Artisan Market Enjoy scenic shopping at the Roswell Farmers and Artisan Market. Located at City Hall, this market has plenty of shade and space to enjoy your Saturday outside. Shop for delicious food and enjoy vibrant music as you take in beautiful, sunny mornings. With a goal of building the community around a sustainable food economy, this market provides lots of options. Vendors offer produce, meats, dairy and more for an all-encompassing local plate. Starting April 9, the Roswell Farmers and Artisan Market is open 8 a.m. to noon every Saturday until November. 

South Atlanta 

Serenbe Farmers at Grange Experience some of the highest quality, locally-sourced products in the Chattahoochee Hills area at the Serenbe Farmers Market. Take your pick of produce, meat, prepared foods and artisan items from Serenbe and neighboring areas. Held every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., shoppers can browse vendor booths for everything from local honey to salad dressing. Looking for fresh pasta? There will be a vendor that can help you out with that too! Open now through November, the Serenbe Farmers Market can help you find organic, sustainable products that you will be proud to serve on your table.

Cobb County Farmers Markets

Kennesaw Farmers Market Shop ’til you drop at vendor booths every Monday from May to August, excluding Memorial Day. Shoppers can pick up fresh produce, locally made prepared goods and wellness products. The market is located at the corner of Moon Station Road and Main Street.

Marietta Square Farmers Market This year-round market features produce not found in grocery stores like heirloom tomatoes, fruits and vegetables. Want something more mainstream? The Marietta Square Farmers Market also carries potatoes, strawberries, fresh salad mix, floral arrangements and wellness products. Open every Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon, make this market your go-to. With 50+ vendors, there is something for everyone and the positive, welcoming atmosphere keeps people coming back every week. Stop by 41 Mill Street this weekend to start shopping! 

Powders Springs Marketplace The Powders Springs Marketplace is your mid-week shopping destination. Open the second Wednesday of every month, this market features food trucks, local music and lots of shopping opportunities. Shop between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. for great food and good times. 

The Battery Atlanta Farmers Market Beginning April 27, browse local vendor booths full of delicious produce, prepared foods and baked goods. Shoppers can watch Braves away games on the Georgia Power Pavilion screen and kids will enjoy the petting zoo at every market. Don’t forget to bring your pup pals; the Bark Market is full of exciting treats! Parking is free for the first two hours of each market in Purple, Green, Yellow or Red Decks, excluding game days and when others events are scheduled at Truist Park and Coca-Cola Roxy. The market is open from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on select Sundays.

Gwinnett 

Duluth Farmers and Artisan Market Located in beautiful, downtown Duluth, this market offers produce, spices and canned products like jams, salsa and honey. Pick up some cut flowers and homemade candles during your trip to freshen up your home too. In addition, the Duluth Farmers and Artisan Market has many artisan vendors, offering everything from pottery, baskets and handmade lotions. Visitors also enjoy outdoor performances by local artists and entertainment. The Duluth Farmers and Artisan Market is open the first and third Sundays of each month from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. 

Snellville Farmer’s Market Fill up on groceries at the Snellville Farmers Market, voted top market in Georgia and among the Top 100 Most Celebrated Farmers Markets list.  Grab fruits, vegetables and food products from local farmers and chat with neighbors. There are many artisan booths as well, featuring bath and body care products, pottery, art and more. From October to May, the Snellville Farmers’ Market takes place the first and third Saturdays of every month in the City Hall parking lot. Visitors are welcome to shop between 9 a.m. and noon, but come early so you do not miss out! 

Suwanee Farmers Market The Suwanee Farmers Market is open April 12 and 26 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., then Saturdays between May 3 to Oct. 25 from 8 a.m. to noon. The market is celebrating its 21st year with a new location, Suwanee Town Center on Main which provides even more space for vendors and weekly events. Whether you want a yummy breakfast or some spices to turn up the heat on next week’s meals, this market has something for every shopper.

East Atlanta 

The Monroe Market Open April 5 to July 26, the Monroe Market is your source for locally-grown food choices. Join the fun every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in downtown Monroe and experience the small-town feel of the “Very Best Small Town.” Visitors shop their way around the courthouse circle, browsing 40+ vendor booths. This market is your source for jams, sauces, soaps, roasted coffee and other products that will have you taste buds dancing. The Monroe Market strives to provide a supportive, consistent location for local growers and in turn, provide residents with healthier, natural products. To show appreciation to local senior citizens, the market hosts Senior Day the last Saturday of every month. The first 40 senior citizens can enjoy a $5 Senior Bucks discount to be spent at any booth. 

Oconee Farmer’s Market The Oconee Farmer’s Market provides fun for the whole family. While you are shopping for weekly groceries, the Munchkin Junction kids’ event teaches kids about market subjects like gardening, beekeeping and pottery. The market is open every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and closes for the season in October. The Oconee Farmer’s Market works to provide farm-fresh food and friendly community. Stop by Wire Park in Watkinsville starting next month for delicious goods and lots of fun! 

Northwest Georgia 

Cartersville Farmer’s Market Located in the heart of downtown Cartersville, this market brings together fresh food and fun company. Visitors can visit every Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon, starting next month. The Cartersville Farmer’s Market is made possible by the Bartow County Government, Cartersville-Bartow Convention & Visitors Bureau, UGA-Bartow County Extension, City of Cartersville and Downtown Development Authority. While you shop, enjoy live music and food trucks. Leashed dogs are always welcome at the Cartersville Farmer’s Market. 

Acworth Farmer’s Market Looking for fresh ingredients and locally-sourced canned goods? The Acworth Farmer’s Market is your hub for produce, jams, jellies, baked goods, honey and more! Kick off your weekend with a visit to vendors from across North Georgia. The market is held in Logan Farm Park in downtown Acworth, so make sure to walk around and explore historic landmarks and delicious, local restaurants. Open April to October, the Acworth Farmer’s Market is ready to serve North Georgia with local, healthy choices. Come by Friday mornings from 8 a.m. to noon and experience it for yourself. 

Church Street Farmers Market On select Tuesdays from May to October, the Church Street Farmers Market presents shoppers with goodies from Douglasville small businesses. The market features homemade goods, local produce, jams, jellies and more. Stop by 6840 Church Street in Douglasville, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., to start shopping! The Church Street Farmers Market is a proud Wholesome Wave Georgia’s Fresh for Less program partner.

Woodstock Farm Fresh Market Beginning April 26, plan to visit the Woodstock Farm Fresh Market on Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. to noon. This market boasts 60 vendors every Saturday, serving up jams and jellies, fresh-baked breads, artisanal goods and wellness products. Also, every vendor at the market grows at least 85% of the products they bring to the market! Start shopping this Saturday at the Woodstock Farm Fresh Market, located in downtown Woodstock between Mill and Oak streets.
