It seems that the fall arts season, like the school year, gets underway earlier every year. That’s one reason we’re doing this fall arts preview in mid-August, but it also allows you to plan. Time is valuable, and when we know what’s coming, we can make the best of those moments where we get to immerse ourselves in the arts.
Autumn brings not just cooler temperatures but an incredible wealth of art, music, dance and more to Atlanta. It marks the return of familiar and reliably thrilling masters of their milieu such as the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, the Atlanta Opera, the Atlanta Ballet, the Alliance Theatre and Out on Film. But that’s just the beginning. Atlanta has such a vibrant and diverse arts scene, from small independent galleries to innovative chamber ensembles.
And as always, we’ve got our Ones to Watch. There are seven this year, and that list could have been far longer. There are so many creative and talented artists in every genre in Atlanta, and picking these seven was no easy task. We think they demonstrate that the future of Atlanta’s arts scene is in good hands and urge you to keep an eye on them.
