James Taylor and his All-Star Band headlined a sold-out performance at Synovus Amphitheater at Chastain Park on Saturday night. The 11-piece ensemble featured drummer Steve Gadd (Paul Simon, Eric Clapton), guitarist Michael Landau (Joni Mitchell, Miles Davis), percussionist Luis Conte (Santana, Madonna), and bassist Jimmy Johnson (Rod Stewart, Ray Charles), alongside longtime vocalists Kate Markowitz and Andrea Zonn. Together, they delivered an evening of classics that highlighted Taylor’s decades long career and the musicianship of his veteran band.
