DECATUR, GA — DeKalb Voter Registration and Elections (DeKalb VRE) is reminding voters about the Tuesday, Dec. 2 runoff elections. Based on the certified election results, the following three contests are included in the runoff election in DeKalb County:

  • Atlanta Board of Education Member, District 8, At Large
  • Atlanta City Council Member District 7
  • Stonecrest City Council Member, District Post

“We are reminding voters to finish this election cycle strong in DeKalb County and take part in the runoff elections in three contests,” said VRE Director Keisha L. Smith. “We encourage voters who are eligible to cast a ballot in the runoff election contests but who may not have voted during the early voting period or by absentee ballot, to make a plan to vote on Election Day.”

Several precincts within the City of Atlanta portion of DeKalb County will vote at municipal polling places for this runoff only. Impacted voters received mailed notifications. Voters who do not reside within Atlanta city limits are not eligible to participate in the runoff. All other voters in the City of Atlanta and in Stonecrest’s District 5 will vote at their usual precincts. While all other precincts in DeKalb will close at 7 p.m., Atlanta precincts will close at 8 p.m. on Election Day.
