Madre Selva, a Latin coastal restaurant with a ceviche bar located in Uptown Atlanta, is now open. Guests are invited into the mystery of Madre Selva, a refined dining sanctuary where the essence of the Mother Jungle meets modern culinary sophistication. Designed for those who seek more than a meal, Madre Selva promises an exclusive journey that awakens the senses and captures the wild elegance of Latin roots in every detail.
Restaurant owners Juan Segura and Francisco Puerta created a unique culinary destination to introduce Atlantans to an unparalleled Latin dining experience. “Our goal is to create a destination where people get together to celebrate life while immersing themselves in the rich flavors and culture of Latin coastal cuisine,” said Juan Felipe Segura, co-founder of Madre Selva. The menu highlights authentic Peruvian flavors, including signature dishes such as Peruvian-style ceviches, tiraditos, causa and a variety of traditional Peruvian cuisine.
Madre Selva’s chef hails from Miami and brings a deep passion for authentic Latin coastal cuisine. With 15 years of experience, he draws from cherished family recipes, emphasizing fresh, top-quality seafood and traditional Peruvian flavors refined over the years.
Madre Selva’s interior is a tribute to the lush, mystical Amazon jungle. Each element of the restaurant’s design is crafted by hand, from custom-made chairs, tables and lamps imported from South America to plates hand-painted by local artists. A striking mural reflecting the beauty of the jungle fills one wall of the restaurant’s interior, enhancing its immersive ambiance.
The bar stations are custom made and designed by Barsetters, a new company created by the same owners. The restaurant offers top-notch cocktails crafted with precision and flair. Central to the experience is the pisco bar, which features the iconic Peruvian spirit distilled from grapes. Known for its smooth yet complex flavor profile, pisco serves as the base for signature cocktails like the classic Pisco Sour and creative seasonal concoctions unique to Madre Selva.
“I’m delighted to bring the first Peruvian ceviche bar to Atlanta,” comments Segura. “This is going to be a top-notch bar with top-notch mixologists, a destination where people get together to celebrate life.”
Madre Selva will serve lunch, dinner and weekend brunch, transforming from a relaxed daytime dining spot to a lively evening venue with performances and events. The restaurant’s vibe will evolve throughout the day, making it a dynamic gathering place for celebrations and special occasions.
“Uptown Atlanta is the perfect location for Madre Selva. Finding and finalizing it was a long, lengthy process, but Michaela with terra alma was with us from day one through the end, and we are grateful for her advice and expertise,” states Segura.
“Working with Madre Selva to find the perfect home at Uptown Atlanta was rewarding,” states Michaela Boone, CFO of terra alma. “Their unique culinary vision aligns perfectly with the vibrant energy of this new development.”
Madre Selva, located at Uptown Atlanta, 570 Main Street, Atlanta, Ga., 30324, is open Tuesday through Sunday for lunch and dinner. In addition, brunch is offered on Saturday and Sunday. Uptown Atlanta is a 47-acre mixed-use development anchored by the Lindbergh MARTA station. The highly anticipated Latin coastal cuisine restaurant occupies the space in the newly redeveloped office complex where the former AT&T Towers once stood.
