Legendary engineer and producer NasteeLuvzYou, the 10x platinum-certified and underground hip-hop pioneer, steps into the spotlight with the release of his powerful new single, “Free”. This marks the third release from his critically acclaimed fully independent, debut solo album, Current Events.
For nearly four generations, Nastee has been a foundational force in the underground scene—crafting timeless soundscapes for heavyweights like Joey Bada$$, Pro Era, Sean Price, Killah Priest, Termanology, Konflik, and many more. His sonic fingerprints are found on both street classics and chart-topping records, and with “Free”, he brings decades of experience into sharp, purposeful focus.
Featuring a soul-stirring verse from lyrical heavyweight REKS, “Free” isn’t just a song—it’s a movement. Together, they tap into the raw energy of hip hop to deliver a message of liberation, growth, and consciousness aimed squarely at the next generation.
With this single, NasteeLuvzYou makes a bold transition from behind-the-scenes hitmaker to visionary solo artist. His album Current Events is a masterclass in purpose-driven hip-hop, blending authenticity, legacy, and lyrical depth. It speaks to themes of resilience and truth in a rapidly changing world, making it a must-listen for true fans of the culture.
