Status The Marlboro Man is back with his latest underground banger – IN THE END – with Krookid Hooks and Jus Allah (formerly of Jedi Mind Tricks). The new track is a shining example of hardcore underground hip-hop in its purest form. The organic symphonic beat hosts the three emcees perfectly. Gruff delivery and thoughtful punchlines throughout – IN THE END is a perfect addition to any underground hip-hop fan’s Playlist.
Jus Allah starts the song with his classic brooding delivery, reminiscent of his early work with Jedi Mind Tricks. The scientifical wordplay is unmatched and heavily compliments Status’s boom-bap production. Status dominates the 2nd verse with antiwar sentiment and tongue-in-cheek sarcasm. Krookid Hooks rounds out the track with one of his most profound and thought provoking rhymes to date.
Status The Marlboro Man is a pillar in Denver’s underground hip-hop scene. He and Krookid Hooks have worked with such legends as Sadat X, Nine, Young Zee, A-F-R-O, Ruste Juxx and more. Jus Allah is an original member of the legendary Jedi Mind Tricks group and still relases acclaimed solo projects and features today. IN THE END is the final single from Status’ upcoming album SMOKE IN THE BASEMENT. The single and album will be available on all digital platforms.
