Lauren Amos, founder of two of Atlanta’s most cutting-edge fashion destinations, ANT/DOTE and Wish ATL, has long been an style leader in the city. She’s equally known for her philanthropic efforts, supporting important Atlanta institutions such as Meals on Wheels Atlanta, Spelman College’s Museum of Fine Art, SCAD, and the High Museum of Art, where she’s been a board member since 2013.
Now, with a multimillion dollar gift provided by her The Lauren Amos Fashion Project, the High can attract a dedicated fashion curator and expand its fashion exhibit offerings and programming. The upcoming Viktor&Rolf exhibit, which opens this fall, will be the first in a series of dedicated fashion exhibits over five years.
“I’m excited about helping fund a curator and developing a department that’s serious about fashion. The goal is to get someone in who is focused on everything fashion and who is dedicated to having these types of exhibitions continuously come here,” says Amos, who was heavily involved in the High’s past fashion exhibits, including Iris van Herpen: Transforming Fashion and Virgil Abloh: Figures of Speech.
The first exhibit, Viktor&Rolf. Fashion Statements, will showcase one of haute couture’s most celebrated brands. Founded by Dutch fashion designers Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren, the brand is known for its technical prowess, construction details, and conceptual artistry. The High is the exclusive American stop for their retrospective, which will contain over 100 of their creations from the past 30 years. “People don’t often have the opportunity to see these types of pieces in person,” she says. “I’m excited to bring a show of this caliber to show off their breadth of work and what they’ve accomplished in their careers.”
Amos is excited to see the response the first exhibition funded by The Lauren Amos Fashion Project will bring. “I’ve been in retail in Atlanta for a long time. The community here is very into fashion and loves these exhibitions, and I know they’d like to see more. They are very passionate about self-expression. I want to give back to the community and continue to educate myself and everyone else about fashion, history, and art,” she says.
Viktor&Rolf. Fashion Statements opens at the High Museum of Art on October 10 and will run through February 8, 2026.
