ROCKDALE COUNTY, GA—Early voting for the upcoming Nov. 4 elections began on Tuesday, Oct. 14 and is off to a very sluggish start. As of Wednesday, Oct.. 15, only 86 voters had cast ballots in the City of Conyers races for a new mayor and four City Council seats. Early voting ends Oct. 31.
Conyers voters will elect a new mayor to succeed Mayor Vince Evans, who is not running for re-election. Voters also will choose from three candidates to fill the City CouncilDistrict 2, Post 2 seat to fill the unexpired term of Connie Alsobrook, who is running for mayor. Incumbent Charlie Bryant is running for City Council District 2, Post 1 unopposed, and newcomer Anthony Garcia Pacheco is running unopposed for the CityCouncil District 1 seat. Connie Alsobrook and Bradley “Brad” Smith are running for mayor. Additionally, Conyers voters’ ballots will include candidates running for two statewide Public Service Commission Districts.
Only voters who live within the city limits of Conyers can participate in the municipal elections for the mayor and council seats. Rockdale County Elections Supervisor Cynthia Willingham said there are 10,382 active voters in the city of Conyers as of Oct. 5, 2025. Below is the breakdown of the city’s turnout so far:
Willingham also released the early voting turnout for Rockdale County residents. As of Wednesday, Oct.15, there were 357 people who had cast ballots for the statewide Public Service Commission(PSC) District 2 and District 3 seats. The five-member PSC regulates electricity, natural gas, and telecommunication utilities in the state of Georgia. Below is a look at Wednesday’s reported totals are below.
