Countdown Over Atlanta
New for 2026, Mayor Andre Dickens has announced that the City of Atlanta will debut Countdown Over Atlanta, replacing the longtime Peach Drop. The updated format features a 12-minute New Year’s Eve activation designed as a shared, citywide experience. A digital drone peach countdown will light up the sky and be visible from Downtown and Midtown, followed by synchronized fireworks launched from multiple sites across Atlanta.
Noon Year’s Eve at Ponce City Market
Looking for family-friendly fun this New Year’s Eve? Ponce City Roof’s annual Noon Year’s Eve celebration invites guests ring in the new year with a countdown to noon. Before and after the countdown, enjoy activities throughout Skyline Park, including games, ice skating and festive treats!
Where to Eat on New Year’s Eve
South City Kitchen is extending its Christmas menu to New Year’s Eve. The special menu, now available on both nights, features familiar Southern classics such as deviled eggs, fried chicken, garden veggies and bundt cake for dessert!
Until Jan. 3, Canoe presents its holiday menu full of classic dishes and new flavors. Try the beef short ribs with truffle mashed potatoes and charred broccoli, then indulge in sticky toffee chocolate pudding-cake to finish.
