Set in the beautiful Virginia-Highland neighborhood of Atlanta, the 2026 Virginia-Highland Summerfest returns June 6 and 7 to celebrate 41 years of art, music and community fun. Kick off the summer season with live bands, local artists, delicious food and family-friendly entertainment at one of Atlanta’s favorite neighborhood festivals.

Summerfest takes place along scenic and historic Virginia Avenue between North Highland Avenue and Park Drive, extending into John Howell Park and the Virginia Highland Elementary School grounds.

A few attractions at this year’s Summerfest include:

  • Artist Market: The Summerfest Artist Market continues to be one of metro Atlanta’s premier outdoor art experiences, featuring more than 200 artists and makers showcasing everything from fine art and folk art to handmade goods and unique creations. The Artist Market is open Saturday, June 6 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, June 7 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • 5K Road Race: The Summerfest 5K Road Race returns on Saturday, June 6. This USATF-certified race and official Peachtree Road Race qualifier winds runners through the beautiful, tree-lined Virginia-Highland neighborhood. The race features chip timing, awards and a fun community atmosphere, with proceeds supporting neighborhood initiatives through the Virginia-Highland Civic Association.
  • KidZone: Families can enjoy the KidZone, featuring water slides, games and activities designed for children of all ages. KidZone will be open Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Food and Beverages: Festivalgoers can enjoy a variety of curated food vendors, beverage options and local favorites throughout the weekend. From festival snacks to full meals and refreshing drinks, there is something for everyone to enjoy.
  • Music: Live music remains a Summerfest favorite, with performances from local and regional musicians throughout the weekend. Saturday evening also features the Summerfest Block Party at the corner of North Highland and Virginia with live entertainment, food and beverages from 6 to 11 p.m.

Admission to Summerfest is free! Don’t miss this annual celebration of community, creativity and summer fun in one of Atlanta’s most beloved neighborhoods. For more information, visit the Virginia-Highland Summerfest website.

Summerfest serves as the annual fundraiser for the Virginia-Highland Civic Association (VHCA), a nonprofit organization dedicated to maintaining and improving the historic Virginia-Highland neighborhood. Funds raised support neighborhood parks, schools, preservation efforts, public safety initiatives, grants and community improvement projects throughout the area
